Two children sitting on a couch enjoying picture books. text overlay: Children's Book Week, November 6-12

For over 100 years, Children’s Book Week has been a celebration of books and connection. Each year, a slogan helps to shape materials and celebration ideas, and an artist is chosen to exemplify the slogan in the official Children’s Book Week poster.

The 2023 slogan is: Read Books. Spark Change. This theme speaks to the power that books and stories have to inspire positive change. Award-winning author and illustrator Rilla Alexander created this year’s poster art.

Check out the 2023 Children’s Book Week materials, including bookmarks, activities, draw along instructions, an Educator Guide, and of course, the 2023 poster.
