Many schools in NY state will be in the path of totality for the April 2024 solar eclipse and may be looking for additional approved or certified viewing glasses for their students or school community to use during planned programs. The American Astronomical Society has put together a helpful resource and extensive list of manufacturers and distributors of safe solar viewers and filters.
Many of these suppliers offer some type of educator discount, and can also add custom logos to eclipse glasses that are being ordered in large quantities by a school or district. And don’t forget to check the Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries site often for program ideas, eclipse activities and virtual trainings!
Registration is now open for the CSLP Virtual Summer Symposium, taking place on Thursday, December 7!
The CSLP Summer Symposium is a half-day virtual offering for public library staff to connect, learn, and collaborate as we plan for summer library programming around the 2024 theme of Adventure Begins at your Library.
Sessions will touch on simplifying the planning process, manual highlights, and practical tips for programming and partnerships.
