Coming up from the NYS Library: a free, online public program all about the impact of children’s literature!

On Wednesday, September 20, Brian Rouleau, a professor in the History Department at Texas A&M University, will present How Children’s Literature Helped Build America’s Empire. The discussion will focus on how nineteenth and twentieth century authors used children’s literature such as dime novels and comic books to promote America’s power and celebrate its growing global hegemony.

This program begins at 12 PM, and registration is required. Find more information and reserve your spot.

You can find details for all of the NYS Library’s upcoming public programs by visiting our Events Calendar.
